For the closest âceremonial-styleâ feel: use 70â75 °C water and a slightly lighter dose for extra smoothness.
How to make it
Matcha (Usucha / Thin Tea)
Sift 1â2 tsp into a bowl. Add 60 ml of 70â80 °C water. Whisk until a fine foam forms. Top with more water if you like.
Iced / Latte tip: Whisk with a small splash of warm water first, then add cold water or milk.
Hojicha Latte
Whisk 1â2 tsp with a splash of 80â90 °C water until smooth. Top with warm milk. Sweeten to taste if you like.
